5 Things Every Non-Christian Should Know!!!

Many people think being a Christian is about being confined in the walls of rules and regulations or being judged from your hairstyle to the tattoos on your body to know if you are Christian or not.

But this is what ’sup!

To become a Christian is to accept and receive the free gift of salvation. All you have to do is believe in Jesus.

This gift of salvation is the deliverance, by the grace of God, from eternal punishment for sin. It has nothing to do with your outside appearance instead when you receive this gift, there’s an inner transformation that eventually changes what you do on the outside.

  1. What About The Rules and Regulations?

Christianity is the Life of Christ in us! So when you become a Christian, you begin to live and love like Christ! That’s all!!!
Before Jesus came, it was all about the LAW “Rules and Regulations”, do this don’t do that, eat this don’t eat that… but when Jesus came, this is what He said…

“A new Commandment l give to you, that you love one another as l have loved you… “John 13:34, John 15:12, John 15:17

Did He take away the Law???
No He didn’t instead He came to fulfill it! And He commanded us to love God and Love people. That’s it!!

  1. Man, l am not a Church person!!

Church is not a club, it’s the body of Christ, its people on a journey of pursuing Jesus. The thing about journeys is… it’s so lonely when you walk alone. When birds fly together, they save energy and cover a longer distance than they would have covered alone. Same as Christians, you can’t walk alone. That’s why you need the Church.

Church is the one place you can be accepted, encouraged and comforted. But if you are looking for a comfort zone, a place you won’t be challenged and inspired to pursue Jesus with passion, then you will quickly be disappointed. Look, there’s nothing cozy about journeys!! You walk, you take your next steps and there’s always more.

  1. Is It Easy?

Nothing good ever came from easy, following Jesus and living like Him is not easy, But what l know it is a whole lot of adventure.

Jesus says …  “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” Matthew 11:28-30

So Yes!!! It is easy when you walk away with Jesus.

  1. Arhh!!! Being a Christian is Boring

There’s nothing boring about being a Christian, but know this!! If you allow yourself to be caught up in religiosity, you will be such a boring Christian
“It’s only boring if you are!!!” So cheer up, don’t dull your shine!! If it’s dancing time, get your groove on.

  1. I am such as sinner, Jesus wouldn’t accept me.

Yes you are!! And it’s good you know you are, in fact we all are… but here is the good news “…nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.  No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38 -39

You think yo worse, but you just a sinner, Paul declared himself “The Chief of sinners” but yet he didn’t let that put him off, instead he focused on the fact  “that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners;” 1 Timothy 1:15.

So the question remains, what are you waiting for?
